Travel has been a significant part of Prithvi Krishna's life from the beginning. Inspired by his mothers enthusiasm for authentic experiences, his passion for adventure was ignited. His first solo backpacking trip to Northeast India was life-changing, filled with ups and downs like almost losing his leg in Sikkim and discovering hidden treasures in Meghalaya.
Travel has been a significant part of Prithvi Krishna's life from the beginning. Inspired by his mothers enthusiasm for authentic experiences, his passion for adventure was ignited. His first solo backpacking trip to Northeast India was life-changing, filled with ups and downs like almost losing his leg in Sikkim and discovering hidden treasures in Meghalaya.
Prithvi's next adventure took him on a 6-month road trip through Northern India with just a bike, tent, and backpack. This trip allowed him to reach remote destinations with little to no public transport, meeting countless strangers and sharing life stories along the way. The diverse geography of Kashmir and Ladakh left him awestruck, while Himachal and Uttarakhand revealed numerous hidden gems, discovered through conversations with locals.
Prithvi pursued a Masters in Tourism at Edinburgh Napier University in Scotland. During his time there, he traveled extensively across Europe, visiting Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, and Spain. A highlight was a week-long surf trip to the Canary Islands. He also learned rock climbing and scuba diving, broadening his adventure repertoire. However, the 2020 pandemic brought the tourism industry to a standstill, prompting his return to India.
Back in India, Prithvi spent two years developing a sustainable organic farm on his ancestral land. The farm employs a multi-crop and multi-animal model, cultivating coconut, sugarcane, banana, peanuts, and fodder, while raising cows, goats, and chickens. This project continues to evolve and reflects his commitment to sustainability.
With the tourism industry recovering, Prithvi founded Loco Trails. Initially aimed at leading group trips for strangers around the globe, the first few trips were a roaring success. However, increasing inquiries for private customized tours shifted the focus. Now, Loco Trails primarily curates unique tours for clients while still running a few group trips each year.
