Daily Itinerary

Into the Mountains
Day 1: Into the Mountains Arrive in Chandigarh by 8 AM and set off on your journey into the Himalayas. A scenic 6-hour drive takes you through Shimla, where you can pick up any last-minute essentials.
By afternoon, you reach Narkanda, a charming gateway to Spiti. Settle into your stay and soak in the crisp mountain air.

The Last Village Before the Border
An early start takes you on a stunning 7-hour drive through lush forests and riverside roads toward Chitkul, the last inhabited village before the Chinese border. Stay in luxury Swiss tents in Rakchham, just 12 km from Chitkul, offering a serene riverside retreat.
As the sun sets, gather around a bonfire under the stars, soaking in the tranquility of the valley.

Thrill & Tranquility
After breakfast, feel the adrenaline rush with rock climbing and rappelling, led by an ex-military officer.
By afternoon, take a short 2-hour drive to Kalpa, where the mighty Kinner Kailash range stands tall before you. Stroll through the quiet lanes of this quaint village and enjoy uninterrupted mountain views right from your room.

Into the Heart of Spiti
The landscape transforms as you drive 7-8 hours to Tabo, where green valleys fade into surreal mountain deserts.
En route, visit Gue Monastery, home to a 500-year-old naturally mummified monk. Arriving in Tabo, check into charming mud houses—the best in town! End the day with a bonfire and a delicious local meal.

Monasteries, Caves & a Hidden Lake
Wake up to a magical sunrise and join the morning chanting at Tabo Monastery before exploring its ancient meditation caves. Drive to Dhankar Monastery, a breathtaking cliffside structure with panoramic valley views.
Then, embark on a 2-hour trek to Dhankar Lake, a secluded gem offering an unreal mountain reflection. Drive through Pin Valley National Park to Mud Village. Enjoy a stargazing session with little to no light pollution.

Silence, Muddy Roads & Mountains
Wake up early to soak in the stillness of Mud Village. Life moves slowly here. There’s not much to do, and that’s the beauty of it.
If you're lucky, you might spot a snow leopard in the far ridges, or catch a glimpse of a red fox, Siberian ibex, or a lone weasel darting across the slopes.
Later in the day, begin your drive toward Kaza, tracing the Spiti River as the landscape slowly shifts again.
Overnight in Kaza.

Fossils, Gompas & Bridges in the Sky
Begin your day in Langza, known as the fossil village of Spiti, where ancient marine fossils are hidden in the hills.
Next, visit Hikkim, home to the world’s highest post office, where you can send a postcard from 14,400 ft! Continue to Key Monastery, Spiti’s most picturesque monastery, before heading to Chicham Bridge, the highest suspension bridge in the world.
Wrap up the day shopping at Kaza Market before unwinding in your boutique stay.

Chandrataal – A Lake from Another World
Hit the road to Chandrataal Lake, a surreal alpine lake accessible only for a few months each year. The journey isn’t smooth—the roads are rough, but the scenery is unmatched.
Arrive at your campsite by afternoon, and spend the day walking around the lake or simply soaking in its mystical beauty.
As night falls, gather around a bonfire under a sky filled with a million stars—it’s going to be a cold one!

The Wildest Drive Yet
Wake up early to catch the breathtaking sunrise over Chandrataal. Today’s 6-7 hour drive takes you through Gramphoo-Batal Pass, crossing wild, rugged terrains where roads barely exist—just mountains in their rawest form. By evening, arrive in Manali, where a lively last night awaits.

Back to Reality
Depart early from Manali, taking the scenic backroads instead of the busy highway for a smoother journey. Expect a 7-8 hour drive back to Chandigarh, ensuring you reach the airport by evening.
Book flights post 7 PM to allow for any unexpected delays.
