Day 1
GUWAHATI TO CHERRAPUNJI – WHERE THE JOURNEY BEGINS

GUWAHATI TO CHERRAPUNJI – WHERE THE JOURNEY BEGINS

Land at Guwahati Airport, where the bustling city slowly fades into the serene embrace of Meghalaya’s hills. Your drive to Cherrapunji takes about 5-6 hours, but time melts away as you cruise along smooth mountain highways. Stop at Umiam Lake, where placid waters stretch endlessly, mirroring the sky—a perfect pause to breathe in the fresh mountain air.

As you reach Cherrapunji, the clouds swirl low, wrapping the town in a mystical haze. Settle into your stay, sip on a hot cup of tea, and let the cool breeze wash over you. Evening is yours —relax, unwind, and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2
DOUBLE DECKER ROOT BRIDGE – NATURE’S LIVING MARVEL

DOUBLE DECKER ROOT BRIDGE – NATURE’S LIVING MARVEL

Fuel up with an early breakfast before heading to Tyrna Village, the gateway to one of Meghalaya’s most iconic wonders. Descend 3,500 steps into lush forests, where the air grows thick with the scent of damp earth and wildflowers. At the end of your trek awaits the Double Decker Living Root Bridge, an awe-inspiring creation where tree roots, nurtured over centuries, have grown into a sturdy, functional bridge.

But the adventure doesn’t end there. Trek deeper into the jungle to the surreal Blue Lagoon, its waters shimmering in shades of emerald and turquoise—an irresistible spot for a swim. Push on to Rainbow Falls, where misty sprays guarantee a rainbow almost all day long. Trek back to Tyrna with tired legs and a full heart.

Overnight in Cherrapunji.

Alternate Day 2: Single Root Bridge & Hidden Gems For a more relaxed day, start with a visit to a secluded Single Root Bridge, away from the crowds. Then, head to Thangkharang Park, offering sweeping views into Bangladesh. Cap off the day at Wahrew, a hidden paradise with a scenic bridge and a crystal-clear river—perfect for a dip or a peaceful kayaking session. Overnight in Cherrapunji.

Day 3
CAVES & WATERFALLS – BENEATH THE SURFACE

CAVES & WATERFALLS – BENEATH THE SURFACE

Today is all about diving deep—both into the earth and the heart of Meghalaya. Start with a choice: explore the beginner- friendly Arwah Cave and the mystical Garden of Caves, or go all-in with the ultimate spelunking experience at Mawmluh Cave. This 4-5 hour adventure takes you crawling, climbing, and even belly-crawling through ancient limestone formations —a once-in-a-lifetime journey into the earth’s secrets.

Later, let nature wash over you at Lyngksiar Falls. Splash in its crystal-clear pool, feeling the cool mountain water revive tired muscles. As the day winds down, stand in awe at Nohkalikai Falls, India’s fifth-highest waterfall, where the cascading water plunges dramatically into a turquoise pool below. The sunset here paints the sky in hues that seem almost unreal. Drive to Shillong in the evening.

Overnight in Shillong.

Day 4
SHILLONG – CULTURE, FORESTS & FLAVORS

SHILLONG – CULTURE, FORESTS & FLAVORS

Start your day at Mawphlang Sacred Groves, where ancient trees stand tall, protected by Khasi traditions. Your guide will share age-old legends, making the forest feel almost alive. Next, head to the Don Bosco Museum, a cultural treasure trove that showcases the diverse heritage of Northeast India.

After lunch, visit Laitlum Canyons, often called the “Grand Canyon of India.” Watch the rolling green hills stretch endlessly under a golden sunset. Wrap up your day with a guided food tour at Police Bazaar, where you’ll sample local delicacies like Jadoh and Tungrymbai, ending with a shopping spree for souvenirs.
