Then, step into the stillness of Ranka Monastery, where chanting monks make time feel slow. Later, float above the valleys on a ropeway ride, ending with a golden view of Kanchenjunga from Tashi View Point.

Overnight in Gangtok

After breakfast, begin the scenic drive to Lachen—6–7 hours of waterfalls, winding cliffs, and dramatic river views.

Make unhurried stops for tea and photos. By evening, stroll through Lachen’s quiet lanes, where the air is crisp and life feels paused.

Rise early for the high-altitude adventure of a lifetime. Drive through Chopta Valley’s frost-tipped trees to reach Gurudongmar Lake—one of the highest freshwater lakes in the world.

Drink in its sacred stillness and watch the sky reflect in its icy blue. After a quick detour to the dark slopes of Kala Patthar, head downhill to the warmer embrace of Lachung.

Overnight in Lachung

Trace the path of the Lachung River back to Gangtok. On the way, stop for mountain views and local delicacies

By evening, return to MG Marg grab that one last plate of thukpa, pick up handcrafted souvenirs, and take in the buzz of the hills one final time.
